Singer-songwriter Bee Bakare is playing at the Portobello Green Arts Festival on Sunday afternoon.
If you’re down Portobello Market on Saturday 16th or Sunday 17th July, as well as the usual fantastic shopping and tempting street food, there’s also an intriguing new Arts Festival launching. The Festival is majoring on new, emerging talent, so come along to see the stars of the future.
The Portobello Green Arts Festival’s first edition is happening at Acklam Village, under the Westway flyover, just by the junction of Portobello Road and Cambridge Gardens. If you’re on your smartphone, search for post code W10 5TY.
The organiser’s promise a fabulous weekend of live music, dance, performance and animation from 12 noon on both days. There’s also a bar, and a tempting selection of street food, which you can read more about here.
On the Sunday afternoon, there’s a Family Day from 12 noon on Portobello Green, the little park just across Portobello Road from Acklam Village. That will include a glow-in-the-dark disco tent, bubble show, arts and crafts, healthy treats, sports zone and a live performance by calypso legend Alex D Great.
So come along, do your shopping on Portobello Market, then enjoy some top class music, performance and fun!
